Michael R. Haake, M.D.

Dr. Haake is interested in general radiation therapy, but also has special interests and experience in brachytherapy, or radioactive implantation, of cancers of the prostate, gynecologic organs, gastrointestinal areas, sarcomas, and regions about the head and neck. High dose rate implants, whereupon patients have implants done as an outpatient, and low dose rate implants, whereupon patients must spend some time in the hospital during their implant procedure, are both utilized by Dr. Haake, depending on the cancer site and extent.

Originally from southern Indiana, Dr. Haake enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, skiing, hiking, swimming, and motorcycling, as well as spending time exploring North Carolina with his family.
