Tell us about yourself.

I am originally from Charlotte, but grew up in the Fort Mill area. I received my bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina. I then worked as a nurse at CMC Pineville for about two years before deciding to begin the family nurse practitioner program at the University of South Carolina. I continued to work part time throughout school and worked a total of four years as a nurse on a Cardiac/Progressive care unit.

Tell us about your family.

My husband and I met in high school and have been married for 4 years. We welcomed a baby boy to our family this past August, and he is almost one year old now—which is hard to believe! Fortunately, both of our families still live close by so we enjoy lots of family time.

What do you and your family enjoy doing when away from work?

We enjoy spending time outdoors and try to get outside as much as possible. We enjoy walking and hiking and we are always looking for an outdoor event. We also like trying new places to eat. Our favorite spot to eat is Superica—a yummy Mexican restaurant, and our favorite spot for a treat is Jeni’s—an awesome ice cream place!

What is your favorite movie, TV series, or book series?

I love light hearted humor. My favorite TV series are The Office and Parks and Recreation—I pretty much re-watch both series every year and it never gets old.
