At SERO, we’re committed to providing the most advanced and compassionate care to cancer patients in Charlotte, NC.  We are excited to welcome two new radiation oncologists to our list of dedicated providers.

Meet George Alexander Trivette, MD

Dr. Trivette began his medical journey at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA on a United States Army medical scholarship, earning his MD between 1979 and 1982. He then completed his internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC from 1982 to 1983. Following his internship, Dr. Trivette specialized in Radiation Oncology,, completing his residency at the esteemed National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD from 1983 to 1986.

Dr. Trivette brings a wealth of experience to SERO, having served patients battling cancer for over 40 years. He continued to work at Walter Reed Army Medical Center until 1989 when he completed his military commitment. Dr. Trivette practiced in Virginia for almost 30 years at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, VA, Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond (1997-2014), and then at Bon Secours Cancer Institute in Norfolk (2014-2018). Most recently, Dr. Trivette served at Prisma Health Cancer Institute in Greenville, SC (2019-2023) and now SERO, to be closer to his grandchildren.

Meet Quentin Adams, MD

Dr. Adams graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with his baccalaureate in Biology in 2012 and from the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine with his MD degree in 2016. He completed his radiation oncology residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where he served as Chief Resident.

Most recently, he held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa in the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center where he was one of the recipients of the Patient’s Choice Recognition award, demonstrating his commitment to high-quality patient care. He has also authored numerous publications and holds several patents related to developing novel approaches to treating prostate cancer.

Expanding our team with these two skilled radiation oncologists allows SERO to provide even more patients in the Carolinas with access to high-quality cancer care.
