We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Corso, MD, PhD, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). This prestigious appointment recognizes Dr. Corso’s exceptional contributions to the field of radiation oncology and his dedication to advancing patient care.

Dr. Corso, currently serving as the chair of ASTRO’s government relations committee and a board member of ASTRO’s political action committee, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. As a radiation oncologist and medical director at Atrium Health Pineville Radiation Therapy Center, Dr. Corso has demonstrated outstanding leadership and clinical expertise.

In his position on the ASTRO Board of Directors, Dr. Corso will continue his vital work in securing payment reform for radiation oncology. He is at the forefront of efforts to promote the bipartisan, bicameral Radiation Oncology Case Rate Value-Based Payment Program Act of 2024, which aims to improve the quality and value of care for cancer patients.
