You may see some new faces in our SERO offices. We are happy to announce the additions of three talented healthcare providers to our team. Please join us in welcoming our new teammates to our practice:

SERO Welcomes Dr. Anshu Kumar Jain

Dr. Anshu Kumar Jain joins SERO from the Bellefonte Cancer Center, where he served as Attending Physician and Medical Director. Prior to his time at the Bellefonte Cancer Center, Dr. Jain was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at the Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Jain earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Duke University. After graduating from Duke in 2003, Dr. Jain went on to earn a Certificate in Clinical Science from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, while he completed medical school at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He graduated in 2009 with Highest Distinction.

After finishing medical school, Dr. Jain went on to complete his intern year with the Department of Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Jain completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Columbia University Medical Center. He also served as Chief Resident during his final year. In addition, Dr. Jain also spent time at Memorial Sloan Kettering, augmenting his training. We look forward to having Dr. Jain join us at SERO!

SERO Welcomes Dr. Amardeep S. Grewal

Dr. Amardeep S. Grewal is joining SERO after spending time at the Center for Digital Health at the University of Pennsylvania, where he worked as a research associate. Dr. Grewal completed his undergraduate education at Harvard University, where he graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cellular Biology. After taking a year to work at the UCSF Breast Care Center in San Francisco, Dr. Grewal returned to Harvard University for medical school, where he graduated in 2015.

After finishing medical school, Dr. Grewal went on to the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania for his intern year. He continued at the University of Pennsylvania for his residency in radiation oncology, which he finished in 2019. Dr. Grewal was elected by his peers to serve as Chief Resident during his third and fourth years of residency.

Dr. Grewal has extensive experience in proton beam therapy, image-guided radiotherapy, 3D conformal therapy, electron beam therapy, stereotactic body radiotherapy, radiosurgery (SBRT and SRS), and high dose rate brachytherapy. Dr. Grewal is looking forward to serving the patients of SERO.

SERO Welcomes Amanda Aguirre-Johnson, PA

We are pleased to welcome Amanda Aguirre-Johnson as a new physician’s assistant at SERO. Aguirre-Johnson joins us after spending time as a Nephrology Physician Assistant for the past four years at the Kidney Care Center of Georgia in Gainesville, where she assisted with the inpatient and outpatient management of renal patients, both in the office as well as in the hospital. She also brings a wealth of experience working with dialysis patients. Prior to her time in Gainesville, Aguirre-Johnson also spent time as a patient liaison, medical assistant, and research specialist.

Aguirre-Johnson completed her undergraduate education at the College of Charleston, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to earn her Master of Arts in Biology from The Citadel Graduate College in Charleston. After completing her MA degree, she attended Lincoln Memorial University, earning her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Debusk College of Medicine, located in Harrogate, TN. Now, Aguirre-Johnson looks forward to a rewarding career working with our patients at SERO.
