Meet Justin Hart, MD, PhD, SERO’s Newest Radiation Oncologist

SERO’s team continues to grow, and we are pleased to welcome our newest physician Justin Hart, M.D., Ph.D. to our practice. As a highly-trained, board-certified radiation oncologist, Dr. Hart’s experience allows us to provide more patients in the Charlotte area with top-notch radiation care.

Dr. Hart spent over a decade with Wellstar Medical Group, where he most recently served as Medical Director of Wellstar Radiation Oncology Clinic at Cobb Hospital. During his tenure at Wellstar, he was instrumental in developing multidisciplinary clinics for prostate and head/neck cancers. He also was a member of the Gastrointestinal Cancer and Prostate Cancer subcommittees, overseeing and coordinating patient care at a system level. In 2020, he was recognized as a Top Doctor in the state of Georgia.

Dr. Hart brings extensive experience in 3-D and IMRT treatment, high-dose-rate brachytherapy, and low-dose-rate interstitial brachytherapy. Within the larger oncology community, Dr. Hart has presented at multiple national conferences, including the Radiation Research Society Annual Meeting, and has authored numerous publications.

Dr. Hart received his M.D. and Ph.D. in pathology from Duke University Medical School. He also attended Dartmouth College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and molecular biology.

When not serving patients, Dr. Hart enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He’s an avid outdoorsman and can often be found on a fly fishing stream or on a biking trail.
